Peter Harverson, Chairman
Peter has held a number of senior international sales and marketing roles in the IT industry. These included Regional Director, Intel Corporation, Vice President Europe, Cadence Design Systems and Director at Sun Microsystems responsible for the development of the company’s European Corporate Accounts programme.
Later he became Director of Services – Sun EMEA with the charter to develop new areas of business, including professional services. Peter retired from Sun Microsystems in December 2005. Previously he was also Non- Executive Chairman with Aspex Semiconductor Holdings – sold to Ericsson AB in July 2010. Currently he is also Vice Chairman to Ubisense Group Plc, Senior Non – Executive to Brady Plc, Non- Executive to CRFS Ltd and Non – Executive Chairman to eoSemi Ltd.
Andy Heaton, Founder & CEO
Andy is a technology industry veteran, with 30 years spent in blue chip semiconductor companies and technology start-ups in the UK and US. Operational, Engineering and Senior Management roles in Plessey, Philips, Motorola and ON Semiconductor were followed by senior roles in start-ups SiConnect, Xmos and Air Semi. He has led organisations of thousands across the world and small design teams alike.
Andy founded enModus based on an idea he conceived in 2006, and as part of the enModus team, he brings leadership, strategic vision and drives execution to plan.
Roy Bedlow, Board Director
Roy is a Director of Oxygen House, a principal Investor in enModus. In addition to his role at Oxygen House, Roy is Chief Executive of Low Carbon, a company focused on the delivery of Renewable Energy as an alternative to fossil fuels.
Prior to his pursuits around the impact of climate change, Roy was the Vice President and General Manager of Palm for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Before joining Palm, Roy founded the European entity of Handspring in Geneva Switzerland. Earlier roles included European Director of Iomega International in Geneva and a variety of sales and marketing positions at Apple Computer which culminated in European Marketing Director, based in London and Munich.
Richard Hadden, Board Director
Richard is a partner at Breed Reply, the IoT investment and incubation arm of Reply SpA, where he is the Director of Investment. He has spent 9 years in operating roles, as business development director of nGame (subsequently Hands-on Mobile) and CEO of Cytox, alternated with 9 years of venture capital investment management, most recently at Finance Wales. His past investments include Tideway Systems (acquired by BMC), Medaphor (IPO), Cambridge Bluegnome (acquired by Illumina) and Decision Fuel (acquired by YouGov). Richard read Natural Sciences and graduate Computer Science at Queens’ College, Cambridge and Law at City University and is a non-practicing barrister.
Richard Thompson, Board Observer
Finance Wales representative from their Technology Venture Investments Team Investment, Equity investment specialist Richard Thompson has extensive experience of technology commercialisation, working with early-stage technology businesses and Universities. He works across all technology sectors. Richard focuses on building and developing long-term relationships from the earliest stages of investment and thrives on working with companies to take original and ambitious new technologies with commercial potential to market.
He has considerable new and follow-on investment experience and represents Finance Wales at board level in a number of companies in its technology portfolio. His recent investments include Q Chip (recently sold to MidaTech Pharma with a concurrent AIM listing raising £32m), WePredict, Creo Medical (winner of the UK Innovation award from the British Venture Capital Association), Acuitas Medical and Calon Cardio.
Richard managed the pan Wales University Spinout Programme for 5 years before moving across into Finance Wales’ technology venture investments team. Prior to joining Finance Wales in 2003 he was a Senior Consultant at the UKs leading construction sector consultants, BRE. He has also held a number of roles in research and development, commercialisation and manufacturing in Australia, the Netherlands and Wales.

John Spear, Co-Founder & Non-Executive Director
John is a highly experienced marketing strategist, with deep expertise in the utilities, telecoms and technology sectors. During his 27 year career John has had several Sales, Marketing and Business Development roles before founding his own consultancy business that he grew to 30 staff and successfully exited.
John joined the enModus team in early 2010, and has been an important figure in developing the marketing strategy during the first 2 years, and driving engagement with utility and telco customers.
