Former Nest Labs Executive John Gilmore Joins enModus Advisory Board

Chepstow, UK, 30 April 2014 – enModus, a developer of Smart Home communications technology, today announced that John Gilmore, former Vice President of Operations at Nest Labs, has joined its Advisory Board.

Gilmore, who is currently Managing Partner at Hidden Hill Partners in San Francisco, brings over 20 years of executive management and operations experience with high tech consumer electronics and manufacturing companies to enModus.

At Nest Labs, the maker of the Nest Learning Thermostat which was recently acquired by Google for $3.2 billion, Gilmore was responsible for the company’s worldwide manufacturing, distribution, installation and service operations.

Prior to joining Nest, John was GM and a key member of the management team at Sling Media (acquired by Echostar Corporation). Before Sling, John worked at Handspring (acquired by Palm) and Iomega Corporation. He also spent 10 years in the strategic and operations consulting practices of Arthur Andersen and Andersen Consulting, now Accenture.  He has extensive international experience having worked in England, the Netherlands and Australia, before moving to the US in 1994.

John has a BA in Economics from the University of Manchester and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
